For those who love to sing but don’t have the time or ability to join an ensemble that meets regularly. This weekend intensive is for you! Join us at our inaugural VEST Community Sings on October 24-25 at 360 Aurora in Elmira Heights. This group brings together people of all ages for an intergenerational, open-to-all weekend intensive singing experience. No experience and no auditions are required—just a love of singing! Over the course of two relaxed rehearsals (Friday evening and all day Saturday), participants learn easy, accessible music that spans folk, gospel, pop, world music, and more. Each session culminates in a joyful community concert on Saturday night. Simply show up, add your voice, and experience the joy of making music together.

Vocal Essence of the Southern Tier (VEST) is committed to access for all singers. To ensure financial barriers do not prevent participation, we offer a pay what you can model. Our season consists of two weekend events in the Corning-Elmira area. Each participant pays what they are able with a suggestion of $25 per person for each event. There is a sliding scale option for this to pay what you can.
